Get the Look: Christmas Edition

It's almost Christmas! Are you ready?

No?

Full disclosure: Me either.

But you know what? That's okay! This time of year is busy with parties and programs and service projects and hundreds of other things. There's nothing wrong with being present in the moment with family and friends, and enjoying all that this season has to offer. If your home and your decorating has been put last on the list, don't worry. It won't take much to get your place looking festive. I have a plan put together for you, and I promise it's easy. All the items featured are in stock today, ready to take home!

Have you seen our Pinterest page yet? (Click here to follow now.) I have collected lots of beautiful inspiration photos for you to browse. I picked this one for the first installment of our new series: "Get the Look."

Doesn't this just look like a calm and cozy place to have Christmas dinner? It's mostly neutrals with a few pops of evergreen, so it will work well with any existing colors that you may have in your home.

First item to have is a long table and a bench to make sure that you can fit everyone together. This bench in particular is great for kids. It could fit three or four (or maybe more!) and it's wood surface is easy to clean.

Another big item in the room: Lighting. We have many lighting options to choose from, like the Eton 1-light pendant.

The next layer is table linens. We have a lovely napkin and runner set in a gray and green plaid - practical for even after the holidays. Crisp white dishes are also always in style, no matter the season. These evergreen plates have been very popular this fall and winter.

In the back of our inspiration picture, you'll also notice a nice glass lamp sitting on the buffet table. We have several similar items in store now. This is my personal favorite.

The last is greenery. You can order a special centerpiece from a local florist, or use something faux like in the inspiration picture. But my favorite thing to do is much less expensive. I trim a few sprigs off of a tree in my yard and put them in my favorite vessel. This vintage inspired pitcher would be perfect.

That's it! Just keep it casual, and all will be calm and bright. Unless you have small children, then it will at least be bright. ;)
